Halloween Babies!

Dear Self,

Next time you do program scheduling, do not schedule yourself for a babytime and a children’s program on the same day, especially when that children’s program involves hours and hours of hot glue gunning stuff to stuff.  Save your sanity.

Sincerely,

Your Self

Seriously.  I could have made my own life a bazillion times easier.  Also, I’m still bummed that I didn’t get to show off my awesome “Dem Bones” skeleton felt during this babytime!  I hope I don’t have to wait an entire year to break him out again.  There must be some kind of skeleton-related theme I can use in the spring, right?  Right?!  But I digress…

I’d hoped to make Loons and Quines’ ghost finger puppets but opted to just draw faces on my fingers instead.

Weather the Weather Together Babytime

We’ve had an unseasonably warm autumn here on the west coast and it seems like everyone’s talking about the weather! My “storytime theme alert” bells went off after the 20th convo about the sunshine and this storytime was born.

How it Went

I had a lot of help from the parents today! One took me aside and taught me the correct tune for “Mr. Sun” and I even forgot the words for “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring.” Amongst other mistakes. Sigh. I’ll be using this same theme for a Family Storytime, so I’ll nail it in Round #2, right? 🙂
